This Privacy Policy explains how Filmwoo Productions SRL (“Filmwoo”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you visit filmwoo.com, contact us, or book us to film your wedding. We keep it short and plain, because your trust matters to us as much as your story does.

2. What data we collect
When you send us an inquiry through the contact form, we collect what you choose to share: your name and your partner’s name, email address, phone number, Instagram handle, how you found us, your wedding date, city, venue, approximate number of guests, and anything you tell us about your event.
When you book us, we also process the details needed for the contract and invoicing (names, address, billing details) and the information needed to plan and film your wedding (schedule, locations, contacts of other vendors you introduce us to).
When you browse the website, and only if you accept statistics cookies, we collect usage data through Google Analytics, such as the pages you visit, approximate location, device and browser type. See our Cookie Policy for details.
When you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
3. Why we use it and on what legal basis
- Answering your inquiry and sending you an offer: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Delivering the services you booked: performance of our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Invoicing and accounting: our legal obligations under Romanian tax and accounting law (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
- Website statistics: your consent, given through the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time.
- Showing your film in our portfolio or on social media: only with your agreement, as set out in your contract. You can ask us to stop at any time for future publications.
4. Who we share it with
We never sell your data. We only share it with service providers that help us run the business, and only as much as they need:
- our web hosting provider in Romania, which stores the website and form submissions;
- our email provider, which delivers and stores our correspondence with you;
- Google (Google Analytics), only if you accept statistics cookies;
- Vimeo and YouTube, when you choose to play a film hosted on their platforms;
- our accountant, for invoices and legal bookkeeping;
- trusted second shooters or editors working on your wedding, bound by confidentiality.
Some of these providers (such as Google, Vimeo and YouTube) may process data outside the European Economic Area. In those cases the transfer is covered by safeguards recognised under the GDPR, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. How long we keep it
- Inquiries that do not lead to a booking: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Client data and correspondence: for the duration of our collaboration and up to 3 years afterwards, so we can help with any questions about your film.
- Invoices and accounting records: for the period required by Romanian law (currently up to 10 years).
- Analytics data: according to the retention settings of Google Analytics (up to 14 months).
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw your consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. To exercise any of these rights, just write to hello@filmwoo.com. We will reply within one month.
If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can also file a complaint with the Romanian data protection authority, ANSPDCP (www.dataprotection.ro), or with the authority in your own EU country.
7. Cookies
We use cookies only as described in our Cookie Policy. Statistics and marketing cookies are only set after you give your consent in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time from the Cookie Policy page.
8. Security
The website runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), access to our systems is protected, and we only keep the data we actually need.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
